Google Toolbar bug

I am using (like many) the Google Toolbar. And I am quite happy with it.

However, I am also happy about their "Bookmarks" feature. It's quite handy, cause I reinstall my computer a lot (I know, that's strange... sometimes).
If you use their "Bookmarks" feature and add few sites using that thing you will get a list of sites (favorites).

However, today, after investigating some HTTP headers sent and received by my browser, I discovered a nasty thing about Google toolbar. I installed this free little software ieHTTPHeaders and I closed my browser.

However, the hidden thing is that once you close the browser and reopen it, your browser (underground) will load "favicon.ico" file from every site in the Favorites list. That is strange from Google Toolbar !

And once again, close the browser, and reopen it. The same behaviour. I don't even want to think on poor webmasters that have those sites and receive this many requests for this "favicon.ico" file they get. And if they have the file, how much bandwidth they lost.

Because... this is a lost bandwidth... As long as I do not open the "Bookmarks" menu, those little image files should not be loaded in any way.

For example... if I have a website with 100.000 visitors and a favicon file of 200 bytes.
Then if 1% of them add my website on "Bookmarks" and open and close their browser 10 times each day (I think I usually open browser like 200 times a day) then that is 2Mb/day in bandwidth spent... for nothing...

I will announce Google about this little... bug.
